some things about me.

Hi, I’m Clare. Some do call me CJ. No one calls me Ms. Seekins.

Before I was 12, I lived in the following places: Portland, OR; Clinton, NJ; Issaquah, WA; Nashville, TN; Bellevue, WA; and Marietta, GA. In that order.  Since January 2009, I have spent varying amounts of time in the following countries and cities: Mexico, Peru, Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Thailand, Prague, Czech Republic; Hong Kong, China; Portland, Oregon, USA; Atlanta, GA, USA; New York, NY, USA; Pristina, Kosovo, and Managua, Nicaragua. Not in that order.

Music and travel are two things that I love, and combining them really makes my day. Some highlights include Radiohead in Santiago, Chile; Massive Attack in Skopje, Macedonia; and Snoop Dogg in Pristina, Kosovo. I also enjoy speaking Spanish, problem solving, playing and coaching soccer, uninhibited dancing, cooking, grammar, and trying new things. I am a motivated 26 year old woman, on the lookout for people – for collaboration, conversation, ideas sharing – and opportunities – to contribute, and to grow.

I have a BA from University of Virginia, in Anthropology & Political Theory (minor in Spanish), and an MA in International Affairs (concentrations in Conflict & Security and International Development) from the Milano School of International Affairs, Management, and Urban Policy at The New School.
